Mass Timber Institute
Over the years, Mass Timber Institute (MTI) has built a strong and inspiring partnership with the Whitefeather Forest Initiative. Together, we have advanced innovative approaches to sustainable forest management, community-led stewardship, and mass timber development that support both ecological and economic resilience in northern and indigenous communities. This collaboration has fostered knowledge exchange, capacity building, and the promotion of cutting-edge timber technologies rooted in Indigenous values and practices.
The Mass Timber Institute is a leading Canadian research and innovation hub dedicated to advancing mass timber solutions that support sustainable construction and strengthen forest-based economies. MTI brings together academic, industry, and community partners to drive the transformation toward a low-carbon, bio-based building future.
Circular Bioeconomy Alliance
The Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA) was established in 2020 by His Majesty King Charles III, and became a registered charity in September 2023. The CBA aims to accelerate the transition to a nature-first economy that is both powered by nature and prospers in harmony with it. It delivers transformative impact at scale through its global network of Living Labs that blend science, technology and Indigenous knowledge to holistically regenerate landscapes, support communities and rethink value chains.
WFI is an Affiliate Member of the CBA and a member of the Wildfire Resilient Landscapes Network.
